Privacy Policy
ProMe collects the minimum data needed to function. This page explains what is collected, why, and what your rights are.
What is collected
Without an account, your data (characters, maps, journal) stays entirely in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server.
With a Google account (optional), ProMe collects:
-
Your Google email address and display name — used to identify your account
-
Your character data (characters, maps, journals) — synced to a cloud database so you can access it from multiple devices
Why is it collected
Authentication data (email, display name) is used solely to link your cloud data to your account. Character data is stored remotely only because you chose to enable cloud sync.
How long is it kept
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. To delete it, open an issue on GitHub and your data will be removed promptly.
Third-party services
ProMe relies on the following services:
-
Google: authentication (OAuth). Google’s privacy policy applies.
-
Netlify: hosting and identity management. Netlify’s privacy policy applies.
-
Neon: database hosting. Neon’s privacy policy applies.
No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
