Description
A pungent smell settles in. The air begins to thicken around you, then dozens, hundreds, thousands of spores begin to appear as enormous mushrooms take over the environment. It is difficult to breathe. This is an impossible place to navigate for unprepared travellers. It is a place to encounter death, albeit a mild kind of death as, here, all death nourishes new lives.
This Biome is full of harmful spores that spread throughout the air. If you enter a hex of this Biome without using something to protect yourself, leave immediately or perform a Test of Courage to explore — a Miss will cost you 1 Soul.
Colossus Mushrooms
Giant mushrooms that have gained a small sense of self now wander aimlessly through the Mushroom Jungles. Some individuals are extremely poisonous, but none display aggressive behaviour. The small mushrooms that grow on their caps are very different from the others found in the Jungles, as they are edible and have special properties.
